KADANT BLACK CLAWSON LLC stands as a prominent authority in the provision of equipment and systems tailored for the global pulp and paper processing sectors.
Our advanced manufacturing facility is situated in Lebanon, OH, where we engineer and produce our offerings for clients worldwide.
We are currently looking to appoint a Parts Preparation and Finishing Specialist responsible for cleaning and preparing components for evaluation or as part of the standard manufacturing workflow, while furthering KBC's mission of being a progressive, collaborative, and principled organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process components according to technical drawings and other documented and verbal instructions, ensuring adherence to scheduled hours.
2. Choose appropriate sanding or grinding tools for deburring and finishing parts based on job specifications.
3. Operate machinery such as presses, shears, and plasma cutters safely to fulfill job requirements as per specifications.
4. Inspect for broken bits and remove them from drilled components as necessary.
5. Identify defects in drilled components and report findings to the supervisor.
6. Execute TIG welding tasks as required for specific assignments.
7. Carry out additional tasks as assigned or needed.
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven time management abilities with a track record of meeting deadlines.
- Embody KBC values of personal accountability, discipline, trust, and proactive engagement.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
- Familiarity with standard tools, materials, methods, and practices essential for product assembly.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, tape measures), and operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Capable of reading and composing simple correspondence.
- Must possess the ability to maintain machinery, equipment, and tools utilized in assembly.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally; any weight exceeding 50 pounds necessitates assistance or the use of a lifting device.
All benefits, including medical, dental, vision, PTO, and 401k, are effective upon hire. This position is also eligible for our production bonus plan (up to 2K per year).
