Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Coating Specialist to become an integral part of our team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience and a proven track record in the painting industry. This role is highly visible and requires exceptional communication skills, the ability to follow directions, adhere to processes, and deliver consistent results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize various abrasive blasting techniques for effective surface preparation.
  • Apply a range of paints and specialty coatings.
  • Interpret work orders to execute necessary tasks.
  • Communicate with the Supervisor regarding materials and equipment needed for task completion.
  • Collaborate with team members and interact effectively with Supervisors.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, maintain a clean work environment, and comply with all Environmental, Health, and Safety Policies.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards by following in-house quality processes and client-specific procedures.
  • Meet customer quality assurance expectations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including special projects.

Required Competencies:

  • Knowledge of equipment and tools necessary for safe blasting operations.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capability to follow both oral and written instructions accurately.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Engage in activities such as climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, smelling, and visual acuity, with an emphasis on color and depth perception.
  • Willingness to work in confined spaces.
  • Utilization of personal protective equipment as required by environmental conditions.

Education & Experience:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial painting is required.

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience.
