Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support. This role requires a unique blend of clinical and administrative skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient care, including vital signs, medical histories, and treatment plans.
  • Manage patient flow, scheduling appointments, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as data entry, billing, and insurance verification.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient operations.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; medical assisting program preferred.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a public contact role, preferably in a medical office environment.
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant certification encouraged (CMA/RMA/ABR-OE).

Work Environment:

This role is based in a well-equipped medical office setting, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care and administrative support. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Physical and Mental Demands:

This role requires the ability to lift up to 30 pounds of supplies, with a focus on using appropriate body mechanics techniques when making patient transfers and assisting with walking, dressing, etc. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, with a strong focus on patient-centered care and excellent communication skills.
