Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at the Troy Transfer Station. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for performing various welding tasks, including welding, painting, and grinding.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform welding, painting, and grinding tasks as required.
  • Operate various welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, Stick, Aluminum, Plastic, Brazing, Carbon Arc, Plasma Cutting, OXY Acetylene, MAP Gas, and Propane.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and equipment, such as needle scalers, grinders, drills, drill presses, sanders, band saws, sawzalls, hammers, sledge hammers, tape measures, shears, metal brakes, angle finders, levels, and shop presses.
  • Drive a forklift as required.
  • Assist mechanics in the maintenance shop as needed.
  • Perform general cleaning duties.
  • Conduct equipment safety checks, including air compressors, welders, ladders, extension cords, and miscellaneous hand tools.
  • Maintain and track inventory of container parts and supplies.
  • Assemble, repair, and replace decals on carts and containers.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to understand needed repairs and tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continuously.
  • Ability to work outdoors and in various conditions.
