About This Role

As a Critical Care Nurse Specialist with TotalMed, you will provide high-level care to critically ill patients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The Critical Care Nurse Specialist assesses, monitors, and manages patients with complex medical conditions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients, including assessment, monitoring, and management of vital signs and medications.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Perform advanced interventions and procedures to stabilize and support patients' health, including life-sustaining therapies and critical care procedures.
  • Educate patients and their families on their conditions, treatment options, and care plans to promote optimal recovery and self-management.

Requirements

  • Current RN license
  • BLS (Other certifications as required by facility)
  • Two years of recent ICU RN experience
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills
