UF Health Laboratories is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Scientist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures in the area for which you are assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic procedures in the assigned area, requiring high skill levels in areas of licensure.
  • Maintain excellent rapport between Laboratory staff and other hospital departments.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure accurate and timely results.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance laboratory operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (preferred).
  • Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or related field (required).
  • Certificate training program at an approved school for Medical Technician level training leading to state licensure.
  • Current Florida License TC - Laboratory Clinical Technician.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Previous laboratory experience preferred.

Work Schedule:

This position will be required to work every other Sunday and Saturday rotation.
