Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join our team at Saxon Global.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Oracle database administration, including database design, implementation, and maintenance. They will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our database systems, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, and patching.

The successful candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills and be able to work autonomously and collaboratively with multiple teams to resolve database system issues.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing Oracle database solutions
  • Ensuring database system performance and availability
  • Performing backup and recovery operations
  • Implementing security measures to protect database systems
  • Collaborating with development teams to ensure database systems meet business requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle database administration, including experience with RMAN, Active Data Guard, Golden Gate, RAC, GDS, and OEM on a 19c or above platform.

They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Additional requirements include:

  • 5+ years of experience in Oracle database administration
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as BASH, KSH, PowerShell, or Python
  • Experience with agile development methodology
  • Experience with backup and recovery tools such as Data Domain or Rubrik
  • Experience with MongoDB Atlas
