Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team at UnityPoint Health - Marshalltown Hospital. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective provision of medication services to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Pick and deliver medications to patient care areas, including restocking of automated medication distribution system components.
  • Perform packaging, manipulative, or repetitive tasks related to medication processing.
  • Affix required labels on medication containers.
  • Prepackage or label multi-dose and single-dose packages of medications.
  • Perform drug compounding processes.
  • Inspect medication supplies and perform pharmacy inventory control duties.
  • Process wholesale medication orders and reconcile products received with packing slips or invoices.
  • Process patient information, including allergies and disease states, and enter data into the pharmacy computer system.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Iowa driver's license.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Registered with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
