We currently have an opening for a driven individual to assume the role of Service Excellence HVAC/R Lead Technician. In this role, the successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring the optimal and efficient operation of Budderfly's HVAC Units.

Importance of This Role:

The initiative to replace HVAC systems with ultra-high efficiency units is a recent project undertaken by Budderfly to enhance energy savings at our clients' locations. Proper maintenance and the retention of optimal control parameters for these HVAC units are crucial to the success of this replacement initiative. This position is a vital contributor within the impactful team serving Atlanta, GA and surrounding regions, tasked with ensuring these units operate at peak efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the ongoing excellent performance of Budderfly HVAC Units within your designated area, which includes maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems and equipment.
  • Identify maintenance risks associated with HVAC/R equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues in HVAC/R systems.
  • Conduct commissioning checks of HVAC Units to verify continued, efficient operation, including adjustments to HVAC RTU controller configurations and mechanical operations.
  • Perform physical maintenance on Budderfly HVAC Units, including changing filters, cleaning coils, inspecting/replacing belts, and checking for other mechanical failures.
  • Respond to emergency service calls during nights and weekends (when on-call).
  • Clean, adjust, and repair systems, and execute warranty services.
  • Carry out emergency repairs swiftly and effectively.
  • Maintain daily logs and records of all activities in the company work order system.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant State and Federal regulations and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Adhere to service standards, work instructions, and customer requirements.
  • Assist with customer inquiries.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a service technician for HVAC/R systems.
  • Experience with HVAC controls; familiarity with Lennox Core Controllers and Carrier SystemVu controllers is advantageous.
  • Ability to identify control and mechanical issues before they escalate.
  • A commitment to continuous learning, both technically and professionally.
  • A desire to advance beyond basic maintenance roles.
  • A passion for contributing to the development of a growing team of HVAC/R technicians in your area.
  • A customer and safety-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to travel within Atlanta, GA, and nearby areas.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and be available for on-call duties, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across organizational teams.

Compensation:

$35—$45 USD

Compensation is determined based on factors such as experience level, skill set, qualifications, and location.
