Employment Duration: 2-4 weeks
Location: Remote Eligible

The School for International Training is seeking a Launch Assistant to aid in the preparation and execution of the IHP Cities program. This role involves supporting the Launch Coordinator during a program launch that spans approximately 10-12 days. The IHP Cities initiative focuses on equipping college students for a semester-long study abroad experience that addresses global climate change challenges.

The Launch Assistant position is a temporary role that requires strong interpersonal abilities, exceptional organizational skills, adaptability, empathy, and the capacity to foster positive relationships with college students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and logistical assistance to the Launch Coordinator and Program Director, including managing reservations, purchasing supplies, supporting students, organizing educational resources, and coordinating transportation.

1. Program Preparation and Implementation:

  • Assist in preparing and distributing program materials to participants and staff.
  • Engage in workshops, lectures, and site visits as needed, providing logistical support such as transportation coordination and classroom setup.

2. Administrative and Logistical Support:

  • Collaborate with the Launch Coordinator on vendor relationships, logistics, and meal arrangements for the program.
  • Supply relevant information to the Program Team for effective travel and logistics management.

3. Day-to-Day Program Management:

  • Work collaboratively with the Program Team, including the Program Director, Program Manager, Visiting Faculty, and Launch Coordinator, to ensure a high-quality educational experience for students.
  • Support students in their educational activities during the launch phase.
  • Keep the IHP team and students informed about daily schedules and activities.

4. Additional Duties:

Other responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with two years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with experiential education and youth empowerment methodologies.
  • Experience in international programs, event coordination, or youth engagement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with online project management tools.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to manage tasks independently.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles.
  • Experience working with remote teams is a plus.
