Job Title: Host

About the Role:

The Host is a key member of our team, responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, setting the tone for their dining experience. You will be responsible for managing the seating charts, relaying guest requests to servers, and ensuring that our guests receive fast and courteous service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a Warm Welcome: Greet guests with a smile and a friendly demeanor, making them feel welcome and valued.
  • Manage Seating Charts: Ensure that seating charts are up-to-date and accurate, and that guests are seated in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with Servers: Relay guest requests and preferences to servers, ensuring that our guests receive the service they expect.
  • Maintain a Clean Environment: Ensure that the entryway and surrounding areas are clean and tidy, and that tables are turned over efficiently.
  • Provide Accurate Information: Inform guests of estimated waiting times, and provide them with accurate information about their server and menu options.
  • Accommodate Special Requests: Accommodate special seating requests and notify servers of any special events or occasions.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Experience: One year of experience in a high-volume restaurant setting, with some leadership responsibilities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Availability: Flexible availability, including day shift, evening shift, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to remain on feet for prolonged periods, with the ability to lift and move objects as needed.
