Job Summary

KPC GLOBAL MEDICAL CENTERS INC. is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors within our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide security and safety services to patients, staff, and visitors, including responding to emergencies and incidents.
  • Protect hospital and corporate assets, buildings, and property from theft, vandalism, and other security threats.
  • Conduct routine inspections of campus property to ensure compliance with company safety and security regulations.
  • Collaborate with Public Safety supervisors and other designated lead officers to develop and implement security protocols.
  • Respond to and document security incidents, including completing incident report forms and providing basic communications.
  • Operate a computer to access and update security-related information.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field, such as law enforcement or security.
  2. 1-2 years of experience in a hospital setting or law enforcement/security background.
  3. Ability to use a computer, complete incident report forms, and provide basic communications in reporting.
  4. Working knowledge of Orange County Radio Codes, Orange County Phonetic alphabet, California Penal Codes, and universal Medical Emergency Codes.
  5. Possess a State of California Guard Card.
  6. Willingness to work nights, weekends, and occasional holidays as scheduled.
  7. Able to perform duties and responsibilities of this job, including running, climbing stairs, frequent standing and/or sitting for long periods of time, exposure to inclement weather conditions for prolonged periods of time, and combative persons.
  8. Must successfully complete background/physical examinations.
  9. No criminal record other than minor motor vehicle violations.
  10. Able to obtain B.L.S. Certification within 90 days of hire.
  11. Able to obtain MAB certification within 90 days of hire.
