POSITION SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must meet standard TSA badging requirements for airport operations.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
  • Proficient in operating cash registers and managing cash drawers.
  • Experienced in handling monetary transactions, including providing change.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized checkout area and secure workspace.
  • Familiarity with processing various payment methods, including gift cards and coupons.
  • Demonstrated accuracy in balancing transactions, including cash and credit card payments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Competent in using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Capable of performing light housekeeping duties and answering phone inquiries.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Process payments via cash, checks, credit cards, or other payment methods.
  • Issue receipts, refunds, and credits to customers as necessary.
  • Verify cash drawer amounts at the start of each shift to ensure proper change is available.
  • Welcome customers as they enter the store.
  • Keep checkout areas clean and organized.
  • Determine pricing for goods and services, and calculate totals using cash registers or scanners.
