Job Description

At Golden Heart Des Moines, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Team Lead to join our team. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall client service operations and assigned personnel supervision. You will work closely with management and the agency to ensure that our clients receive the highest level of care and support.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train new employees on current jobs
  • First contact for team members & clients when issues arise
  • Develop and implement client plans of care
  • Ensure continuity of assigned caregivers to clients
  • Document client information accurately and completely
  • Participate in employee orientation, competency testing, and in-services
  • Use effective communication skills to follow-up on complaints by clients or personnel
  • Maintain confidentiality of client, employee, and agency operations
Requirements
  • English (Required)
  • Driver's License (Required)
  • Caregiver or DSP experience (Required)
  • Bathing assistance: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Must understand and respect client ethics and confidentiality of care for all clients
  • Experience in the health care field (Preferred)
  • Experience as a supervisor for people who have physical and mental disabilities (Preferred)
  • Must have on hire and maintain CPR and First Aid certification (Required)
  • Must be computer literate (Required)
  • Must possess effective communication skills and the ability to lead a team of personnel with a variety of backgrounds and educational experiences (Required)
  • Must possess good time management, problem-solving, and work ethic skills (Required)
  • Must present a professional appearance and promote a positive work environment (Required)
