Chief Executive Officer - Child Care

Position Overview:

This is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week, with a minimum of 15 hours dedicated to on-site responsibilities. The CEO will oversee the comprehensive operations of the childcare center, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly report to the Board of Directors and follow their guidance.
  • Manage financial records and daily operational expenses.
  • Ensure proper licensing and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead, guide, and monitor staff performance.
  • Facilitate communication among staff, board members, and parents.
  • Prepare and manage the annual budget.
  • Attend monthly board meetings and oversee payroll processes.

This position is term-based, with potential opportunities for continued employment in a different capacity following the term's conclusion. The starting date is flexible.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • An ECE III Certificate (consideration for ECE II may be given).
  • A clear Criminal Record Check (vulnerable sector) and Child Abuse Registry Check.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Strong leadership abilities and a solid work ethic.
  • Excellent communication skills and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
  • Effective organizational skills and the ability to take initiative.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
