Your Role
The Clinical Exercise Specialist plays a crucial role in helping patients reach their maximum functional capacity through tailored exercise programs, education, and lifestyle modifications. You will develop and oversee exercise prescriptions for various populations, including cardiovascular, pulmonary, and metabolic patients, while ensuring safety and efficacy in all exercise regimens.

Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Exercise Specialist, your essential duties will include:

  • Modeling behaviors that align with Billings Clinic's mission and values.
  • Creating and adjusting individualized exercise prescriptions based on patient assessments and physician recommendations.
  • Demonstrating proper exercise techniques and equipment usage to prevent injuries.
  • Providing emergency care as needed in accordance with established protocols.
  • Monitoring patient responses to exercise and modifying programs accordingly.
  • Documenting assessments and progress in patient records.
  • Educating patients on home exercise programs and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive risk reduction plans.
  • Participating in wellness initiatives and community outreach programs.
  • Continuously seeking professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge in exercise and rehabilitation.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science (Clinical Exercise Physiology preferred).
  • At least 6 months of relevant experience in a clinical exercise setting.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications, or the ability to obtain them within six months.
