Position Overview

We are in search of a talented and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to become a part of our vibrant Mechanical Division. This position presents a chance to engage in significant, high-visibility projects that influence the built environment. The ideal candidate will take charge of the design, development, and evaluation of mechanical systems across various construction initiatives. The Mechanical Design Engineer will collaborate closely with other engineering teams and architects to ensure project success that surpasses client expectations while adhering to budgetary and scheduling constraints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee projects while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with stakeholders, including owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Engage in the design development process to collaborate and optimize construction methods, aiming to reduce time and costs.
  • Set and maintain project timelines and budgets in partnership with project managers, ensuring overall engineering deliverables.
  • Supervise internal engineering processes, submittal reviews, and quality assurance/control with project managers to guarantee the highest quality outcomes.
  • Foster strong relationships and promote a collaborative team atmosphere.
  • Assist in mentoring new engineers within the organization.
  • Collaborate closely with our Director of BIM Services to ensure our outputs meet the highest quality standards.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
2. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is mandatory.
3. At least three years of experience in mechanical design within the construction sector.
4. Proficient in Design Build methodology.
5. In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
6. Skilled in mechanical design software.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of thriving in a team-oriented environment.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
10. Familiarity with construction codes, standards, and regulations.
