Job Title: RN Supervisor for 3pm to 11pm Shifts

Whiting Gardens Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a skilled and experienced RN Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day clinical activities of our healthcare team. As an RN Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing leadership and supervision to our nursing staff, housekeeping, and security teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete admissions assessments and reassessments on all patients.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to the nursing staff, housekeeping, and security teams.
  • Work closely with medical support staff to ensure resident needs are met.
  • Maintain medical supplies and equipment.
  • Provide education as indicated after assessing the learning needs of patients and staff members.
  • Assess patients' physical and psycho-social conditions on an ongoing basis throughout the continuum of care.
  • Utilize manual and automated information systems to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Demonstrate a current working knowledge of equipment, instrumentation, and medications.
  • Act as a liaison in coordinating patient care activities with nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals.
  • Participate in preparation and facilitation of regulatory agency site visits.
  • Maintain adequate infection control standards.
  • Review and report all medical, accident/incident-related to patient care and provide input into actions necessary to resolve problems.
  • Participate in weekly and on an as-needed basis case conferencing sessions with interdisciplinary team members.
  • Ensure personnel adhere to established policies and procedures.
  • Document changes in residents' conditions.
  • Participate in care planning meetings.
  • Mentor and supervise LPNs and CNAs.
Requirements:
  • Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
  • 3 years RN experience preferred.
  • Current BLS Certificate.
