Position Overview:

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is tasked with coordinating emergency, routine, and preventive maintenance, along with conducting periodic inspections of the Center's facilities and equipment. This role aligns with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of Texoma Community Center. The individual will participate in a rotating on-call schedule and must be adaptable to changing priorities and maintenance requirements. This position operates under trauma-informed and recovery-oriented care models that comply with CCBHC standards.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in mechanics, carpentry, welding, plumbing, or electrical maintenance preferred.
  • Experience with individuals facing mental health challenges, intellectual and developmental disabilities, or substance use issues is desirable.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Current motor vehicle insurance.
  • Plumbing or Electrical License is a plus but not mandatory.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in a second language relevant to the served population is preferred.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Exceptional knowledge of Office Suite is required.
  • Consistently applies the Trauma-Informed Model of Care, recognizing the pervasive effects of trauma.
  • Understanding of cultural differences and the ability to work with diverse populations.
