### Job Description###

As an Actuarial Analyst, you will play a key role in producing financial results by performing intermediate analyses and providing actuarial support. You will work closely with our senior leadership team, including the VP Valuation, Chief Actuary, and Director Modeling Actuary, to develop and implement processes that drive business success. Pursuing actuarial accreditation (ASA, FSA) is highly encouraged.


Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual valuation processes, delivering timely and accurate reports for GAAP, Statutory, and Tax purposes, as well as analysis of financial trends and forecasts.
  • Create clear documentation and notes supporting new processes, ensuring seamless integration and auditability.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance analysis and improve efficiencies, assisting with the implementation of best practices.
  • Collaborate with business partners to bring external consultant valuation processes, management reporting, and analysis in-house.
  • Contribute to the production of and monitoring of product line profitability (GAAP, value-added, statutory, etc.).
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests, maintaining high levels of professionalism and integrity.
  • Develop effective communication skills, working closely with management and team members to achieve shared goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with continuing education opportunities, meeting expectations for Society of Actuaries (SOA) exam progress and/or continuing education.
  • Comply with internal and external compliance requirements/standards, adhering to regulatory guidelines.
  • Support management on ad hoc requests, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of actuarial experience, preferably with life valuation experience.
  • Successful completion of 1+ actuarial exams.
  • Proficiency in actuarial modeling software (e.g., GGY-AXIS, MG-ALFA, PolySystems, etc.) preferred.
  • Strong Excel and VBA skills, with proficiency in SQL or SAS a plus.
  • Analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and drive informed decision-making.
  • Knowledge of actuarial valuation methodologies and practices.
  • This is an onsite role with occasional work-from-home opportunities out of our Chicago, IL, Birmingham, AL, Alpharetta, GA, or St. Louis, MO office.

Compensation: The estimated salary range for this position is $53,600 - $93,700, depending on experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location. This role also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k), and more.
