The Patient Care Technician plays a vital role in providing exceptional patient care at Westchester Medical Center. Key Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care services, including ADLs (hygiene, toileting, and feeding), and ensure patients' comfort and safety.
- Assist the registered nurse in developing and implementing individualized care plans, and provide timely updates on patients' condition.
- Report changes in patient condition and other relevant information to the RN in a timely manner, and take initiative to communicate with other team members to establish priorities and ensure task completion.
- Participate in maintaining a clean and safe environment, and report any unsafe conditions to the Charge Nurse or Nurse Manager.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of recent experience in a similar setting or behavioral health setting.
- High school diploma or GED.
- BLS certification required.
