We are seeking a highly skilled Cytotechnologist to join our team at the Preston Harris Group. Our research facility is dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care, and we require a professional with extensive experience in cytology.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in cytotechnology. An ASCP certification is preferred, and proficiency in Hologic Thin Prep Imaging System is essential.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough examinations of cytology specimens to detect abnormal cellular changes and pathogens.
- Sign out all negative gynecologic cases, reporting other cytologic findings as necessary.
- Evaluate and mark GYN slides accurately, submitting reactive and reparative, abnormal, and questionable cases to a pathologist for final evaluation.
- Maintain accurate records of each slide read and submit daily workload for quality control review.
- Ensure compliance with workload limits and maintain microscopes in excellent working condition.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a cytotechnologist.
- ASCP certification is preferred.
- Training and proficiency in Hologic Thin Prep Imaging System.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment:
This full-time position is based in Elizabeth, NJ, and requires on-site work Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with some flexibility.
Compensation:
The successful candidate can expect an hourly salary range of $39-40, commensurate with experience.
