**Potential for a $7,500 Sign-On Bonus**
Key Responsibilities:
- Student Loan Assistance: This role may qualify for Avera's Student Loan Repayment Program, providing monthly contributions of $167 (up to $10,000) to help reduce your loan balance.
- Engage with community resources and programs, including Medicaid and Medicare within the healthcare system.
- Address a diverse range of patient needs.
Position Overview
Accountable for designing, organizing, and executing social work services tailored for cancer patients and their families, ensuring that their clinical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs are effectively addressed. Provides individual and group counseling, facilitates quality care and education for patients and their families, and oversees the coordination, implementation, and assessment of clinical activities, professional education, and performance improvement initiatives. Conducts psychosocial evaluations and care planning throughout the cancer care continuum in an outpatient context. Maintains communication with referral agencies and community resources.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work is mandatory.
- Experience or training in oncology is preferred.
Licensure Requirements
- Must hold a Social Worker license in the state of South Dakota.
- Oncology social work certification is preferred.
Compensation
The hourly wage for this position is outlined below. Actual compensation will be based on experience.
- $43.50 per hour
