POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Penn State College of Medicine, you play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. Your commitment to respect, integrity, teamwork, and excellence empowers you to make a significant impact on the lives of our patients.

We are dedicated to supporting skilled LPNs in enhancing their expertise and achieving their professional aspirations while performing essential patient care tasks, including:
- Accurately monitoring vital signs
- Engaging in discussions regarding health concerns
- Conducting tests and administering injections
- Assisting with medical procedures and maintaining documentation.


ABOUT PENN STATE COLLEGE OF MEDICINE:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current licensure as a practical nurse in the state of employment or a multistate LPN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to completing orientation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least one (1) year of experience in an acute or outpatient care setting is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stand and sit frequently; walk regularly.
- Capable of lifting/carrying 0-10 lbs. frequently; 11-50 lbs. occasionally.
- Able to push/pull 0-20 lbs. frequently; 21-75 lbs. occasionally.
- Competent in climbing occasionally and reaching constantly.
- Proficient in using hands for simple and firm grasping.
