Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join our esteemed plastic surgery practice at Ascend Plastic Surgery Partners. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional clinical expertise in assisting with surgical procedures, alongside strong organizational skills to effectively coordinate surgeries and patient care.

Key Responsibilities
Initial evaluation of all new patients in the practice
Pre-operative patient evaluations (H&Ps) and orders
Assisting the physicians in surgery both in office and in off-site facilities
Triage of clinical telephone calls as appropriate
Documentation of patient care with maintenance of clear, concise, and accurate medical records
Conducting rounds on physicians' patients as delegated
Assisting nursing staff when called upon to do so
Maintenance of medical knowledge and standards of care as required for ACLS and BLS certification

Requirements
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license and current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA)
Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an RNFA in a surgical setting, preferably in plastic or reconstructive surgery
Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a surgery coordinator preferably in plastic or reconstructive surgery
Strong understanding of surgical techniques, sterile practices, and perioperative nursing care
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach
Proficiency in medical terminology, electronic health records (EHR), and Microsoft Office applications
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in patient care
