We are seeking a talented Smart Buildings Expert to join our team at Siemens Corporation. As a Smart Buildings Expert, you will play a key role in our Smart Buildings Internship Program, where you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in the field of smart buildings and sustainable infrastructure.
The Smart Buildings Expert will be responsible for rotating through various departments at our local branch office, focusing on smart buildings and sustainable infrastructure. You will spend 80% of your time on specialist (technician) related activities, including visiting customer sites, classroom learning, on-the-job training, and shadowing. The remaining 10% of your time will be spent in our projects (solutions) or service departments, focusing on related tasks needed to deliver world-class service to our customers.
As a Smart Buildings Expert, you will have the opportunity to work alongside current Specialists and Operations Supervisors, meeting with customers to diagnose and repair HVAC/Building Automation, Fire/Life Safety, or Integrated Security electronic control system malfunctions. You will also interface with customers to complete service work documentation, assist with training instructions, and recommend system enhancements to provide a value-added partner relationship.
To be eligible for this role, you must be currently enrolled in a 2-year Technical College/School pursuing a certificate in HVAC/R, Building Automation, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy/Sustainability, and Built Environment or Computer Science. You must also be willing and able to work at the location on-site and surrounding local area, and have a valid work authorization in the United States.
The hourly pay range for this position is $20 per hour for first-time interns or $22 per hour for returning interns. We offer a competitive compensation package, including a comprehensive benefits program, opportunities for professional growth and development, and a dynamic work environment.
