Job Title: Police Service Aide I

Job Summary:

The City of Lauderhill, FL is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Police Service Aide I. As a key member of the Police Department, you will provide support for all components of the department, performing non-routine clerical, investigative, and minor police-related duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare police reports and respond to calls for assistance
  • Investigate traffic crashes and minor property crimes
  • Issue citations for parking and other infractions
  • Conduct crime prevention awareness programs
  • Assist with traffic control and evidence processing
  • Perform related duties as directed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid State of Florida driver's license
  • Passing scores on the State of Florida Criminal Justice Basic Abilities Test (CJBAT) or an Associate's Degree or higher
  • Ability to complete and pass the Police Service Aide Academy and the City of Lauderhill's Police Department's Field Training Program

Working Conditions:

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to stressful situations. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
