About Our Team

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) is a leading animal welfare organization dedicated to providing compassionate care and services to animals in need.

We are seeking an experienced Veterinarian to join our Community Medicine team in Miami, Florida. As a Veterinarian with the ASPCA, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of animals, including cats, dogs, and other small animals, providing them with essential medical care and attention.

Job Summary

We offer a competitive salary of $123,000 - $130,000 per year for full-time veterinarians, depending on experience and qualifications. This role involves providing high-quality veterinary care to patients, overseeing all aspects of veterinary care during a clinic day, and ensuring a safe and compassionate environment for animals in our care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, quality preventive and basic care to patients
  • Oversee all aspects of veterinary care during a clinic day, including physical examination, diagnostics, treatment recommendations and delivery, prescribing of medications and discharge information
  • Perform pre-surgery physical examinations on all surgical candidates
  • Diagnose and treat post-surgical medical complications
  • Perform humane euthanasia in accordance with ASPCA policy and CM protocols

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (or equivalent)
  • Current veterinary licensure in state(s) of selected location(s), or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment
  • New graduate's welcome
  • Fear Free certification is required within 60 days of hire

This position supports the ASPCA Community Medicine's stationary Community Veterinary Clinic (CVC) in Miami, FL. Clinics operate Monday-Friday, closed on major holidays. Schedules are subject to change at the sole discretion of the ASPCA.
