About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team at the ASPCA's Community Medicine division in Miami, FL. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality preventive and basic care to patients, overseeing all aspects of veterinary care during a clinic day.

**Job Responsibilities:**
* Provide compassionate, quality preventive and basic care to patients
* Perform pre-surgery physical examinations on surgical candidates
* Diagnose and treat post-surgical medical complications
* Provide humane euthanasia in accordance with ASPCA policy and CM protocols
* Communicate effectively with clients, discussing physical examination and test results to allow pet owners to make informed decisions about their pet's care

**Requirements:**
* Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (or equivalent)
* Current veterinary licensure in state(s) of selected location(s), or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment
* Fear Free certification required within 60 days of hire
* Proficiency in general surgery skills and spay/neuter surgery preferred
* Knowledge of and ability to use low-stress handling techniques
