Job Overview

Role of a Grain Processing Technician:

As a Grain Processing Technician, you will be integral to the milling operations, transforming grains into various high-quality products. Your responsibilities will include operating milling machinery, overseeing production workflows, and ensuring the excellence and uniformity of the end products.

This role provides an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant team within the food manufacturing sector, contributing to the creation of premium milled goods.

Work Schedule: 6am-6pm, 4 days on/4 days off

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operate milling machinery in accordance with established protocols.
  2. Supervise milling operations to guarantee efficiency and product quality.
  3. Modify machinery settings as required to meet product specifications.
  4. Conduct routine maintenance on milling equipment to ensure peak performance.
  5. Perform quality assurance checks on milled products to confirm adherence to standards.
  6. Diagnose equipment issues and carry out minor repairs as needed.
  7. Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the milling area.
  8. Follow safety guidelines and procedures consistently.
  9. Document production activities and equipment maintenance accurately.
  10. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance production efficiency and product quality.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  2. Prior experience with milling machinery is preferred.
  3. Strong mechanical skills and troubleshooting abilities.
  4. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  5. Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
  6. Effective communication skills.
  7. Willingness to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
  8. Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices is advantageous.
