Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring they meet all safety and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical systems and equipment, including product specifications, assembly instructions, and testing protocols.
  • Conduct research and development of new mechanical systems and equipment, analyzing data and test results to determine feasibility and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products and equipment meet project goals and timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards, including those related to manufacturing, packaging, chemicals, and dust hazards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Continuously improve existing systems and equipment, incorporating new technologies and processes to optimize performance and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical system design and development.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, mechanical engineering principles, and packaging design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools is a plus but not a hard requirement.
  • Experience with dust handling, dust hazards, and combustible dust etc is a huge plus, but if you don't have this specific experience, tell us about your experience with handling/packaging hazardous materials in general.
  • Nice to have skills include experience with mining, grains, cement, pharmaceutical etc.
