Join Our Team as a Bilingual Pediatric Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Thom Child and Family Services. As a Bilingual Pediatric Nurse, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families in our community.

About the Role

This is a rewarding opportunity to work with the pediatric population, providing home and community-based early intervention services to infants and toddlers who have or are at risk for developmental delays and their families. You will work in a coaching model, partnering with parents/caregivers to ensure service delivery is individualized, meaningful for the family, and grounded in evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities
  • Assist and/or complete initial intakes and provide follow-up referrals and/or interagency service coordination as needed.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments to determine the developmental needs of the child and the concerns and priorities of the family.
  • Develop and implement Individual Family Service Plans (IFSP) with families and collaborate with families to identify strengths and resources.
  • Provide services using a coaching model with children and families according to their IFSP, including home visits, child groups, and parent groups.
  • Monitor developmental milestones and progress with parents/caregivers to inform the ongoing need for direct service, consultation, and/or assessment.
  • Provide parent/caregiver education on health and safety issues during home visits or parent education groups.
  • Document all information necessary for the upkeep of client files.
  • Participate in developmental screenings in the community.
  • Attend program functions for clients and the public.
Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Bilingual/Bicultural a must.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Strong ability to engage in meaningful, therapeutic relationships with children, parents/caregivers, and community partners.
  • Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development.
  • Commitment to delivering individualized and culturally informed services.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Abide by all confidentiality and professional boundaries standards.
  • Good computer skills as well as strong documentation skills.
  • Current driver's license and reliable transportation.
