We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team at Chambersburg Area School District. As an Anticipated Emotional Support Educator, you will play a critical role in providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with emotional and behavioral challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of students with emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in a high school setting, utilizing evidence-based practices and strategies to address behavioral and academic needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach to student support and progress.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education and emotional support.
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with students with emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
