Job Summary

CHS Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Business Development Specialist to join our team in the Harlan, IA area. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for increasing sales and profitability for the cooperative through the implementation of sales, marketing, and consulting processes for Cenex-branded products and cooperative services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth and profitability in the Harlan territory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, internal stakeholders, and sales teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Provide consultative services to businesses and customers, combining established relationships with product, marketing, and technical skills.
  • Prepare sales presentations, contracts, bids, and proposals to ensure successful transactions.
  • Manage and complete special projects for the local co-op and customers.
  • Maintain and promote a strong collaborative, positive, safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of sales, business development, and/or sales business operations.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • Outside sales experience, including presentations, persuasive negotiation skills, customer service, conflict resolution, and working independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
