Aerospace Engineer for F-18 Aircraft Maintenance

Job Overview:
This position at Boeing Aerospace Operations offers a rewarding opportunity to work as an aerospace engineer responsible for the maintenance of F-18 aircraft. We are seeking a skilled professional with experience in fighter aircraft maintenance and a strong background in reading and interpreting technical publications and/or maintenance manuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and assemble metal components, make major/minor repairs to aircraft skin, install rivets and metal fasteners
- Perform daily, pre-flight, and post-flight inspections on aircraft
- Assemble, disassemble, or modify systems by changing, removing, replacing, or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes
- Oversee assembly, disassembly, or overhaul
- Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment
- Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components
- Perform validation/verification testing of systems and components
- Document procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance
- Inspect components and verify repairs for flight worthiness requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in military fighter aircraft maintenance
- Willingness to work variable shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends
- Able to lift up to 35 pounds
- Minimum 1 year of experience in reading and interpreting technical publications and/or maintenance manuals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fighter structural work experience
- Able to work outdoors under all types of weather conditions with exposure to loud noise and exhaust fumes
- F-18 (AM) qualifications
- Prior experience with Navy 4790.2 requirements is preferred
Estimated Salary: $59,500 - $80,500 per annum
