Job Title: Pediatric Echocardiographer

Novant Health is seeking a skilled Pediatric Echocardiographer to join our team in Charlotte, NC.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Pediatric Echocardiographer to perform echocardiography studies for patients from the antenatal period to age 21 who have acquired or congenital heart disease, as well as adult congenital heart disease. The successful candidate will calculate, interpret, and analyze hemodynamic data from echocardiography studies.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform echocardiography studies for pediatric patients
  • Calculate, interpret, and analyze hemodynamic data from echocardiography studies
  • Compile data required by pediatric cardiologists on all studies
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager and/or medical director
Requirements:
  • 2-year associate degree in a related field
  • 2 years of echocardiography experience, preferred
  • 1 year of pediatric experience, required
  • 1 year of fetal echocardiography experience, preferred
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) in Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Pediatric and fetal experience
  • Knowledge of normal and congenital cardiac anatomy and physiology
  • Knowledge of palliative repairs of congenital heart defects
  • Knowledge of adult congenital imaging with current and formerly used palliative repairs
  • Knowledge of genetic syndromes and associated congenital heart defects
  • Knowledge of arrhythmias and associated congenital heart defects
Work Schedule:

8:00am-5:00pm
