Pediatric Echocardiographer

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Echocardiographer to join our team at Novant Health Pediatric Cardiology Clinic in Charlotte. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing echocardiography studies for patients from the antenatal period to age 21 who have acquired or congenital heart disease, as well as adult congenital heart disease.
Responsibilities:- Perform echocardiography studies for patients with acquired or congenital heart disease
- Calculate, interpret, and analyze hemodynamic data from echocardiography studies
- Compile data required by pediatric cardiologists on all studies
- Responsible for doing all other duties assigned by the manager and/or Medical Director
- Prioritize patient scheduling and proper billing of procedures
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) in Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- OR Adult Echocardiography (RDCS-AE or RCS) AND minimum experience of 1 year within an Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) Accredited Facility and registry eligible in pediatric echo
- Obtain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire date
- Pediatric and fetal experience
- Knowledge of normal and congenital cardiac anatomy and physiology
- Knowledge of palliative repairs of congenital heart defects
- Knowledge of adult congenital imaging with current and formerly used palliative repairs
- Knowledge of genetic syndromes and associated congenital heart defects
- Knowledge of arrhythmias and associated congenital heart defects
- Knowledge of fetal cardiac anatomy and physiology
- Knowledge of basic obstetrical ultrasound
- Knowledge of genetic syndromes and associated congenital heart defects
- Knowledge of maternal medication/drug use and associated congenital heart defects and/or arrhythmias
