Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver comprehensive SERE training programs to meet specific learning objectives.
  • Conduct training events and assess student performance during the learning process.
  • Utilize blended learning techniques, including eLearning tools, lectures, classroom discussions, team exercises, readings, case studies, role-play, and demonstrations of required skills through work-related tasks.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, coordinate training events, and resource training programs.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and training to other employees to support team growth.
  • Work in austere conditions, nonstandard hours, and occasional weekends, with limited short-duration CONUS travel required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have a Secret US Government Clearance to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret US Government Clearance. US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret US Government Clearance.
  • Pass a human-factors screening.
  • Experience delivering instructional teaching sessions that meet specific learning objectives.
  • Ability to facilitate learning by applying subtle course facilitation skills and effective presentation skills.
  • Sound working knowledge and proficiency in instructional methodologies (informal lecture, guided discussion, and role play) to present information and dilemmas.
  • Basic level MS Office skills (specifically Word and PowerPoint) and proficiency with using email.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and flexibility to adapt as needed.
  • Willingness to travel for an on-site interview at own expense.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Local resident.
  • Graduate of an accredited U.S. military/government survival, evasion, resistance, and escape (SERE) course.
  • Knowledge of Department of Defense guidance regarding the Code of Conduct.
  • Graduate of a basic instructor course with an understanding of training approach and processes.
  • Operational experience in Personnel Recovery tasks or with SERE TTP.

Service Contract Act (SCA) Compensation & Benefits:

This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour worked to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act. The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending on the fringe benefits selected.
