Young Adult Financial Services Coordinator

Overview: Advanced Behavioral Health is a leading provider of behavioral health services. We are seeking an experienced Young Adult Financial Services Coordinator to join our team.
About the Role: As a Young Adult Financial Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing financial support and guidance to young adults aged 18-25 who receive funding from the Department of Mental Health and Addictive Services (DMHAS). Your primary goal will be to help these individuals manage their funds effectively, make informed financial decisions, and achieve stability in their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Support and Guidance: Provide direct financial assistance to clients referred for fund management, including assessment of money management needs, development and revision of budgets, problem-solving around financial conflicts, and disbursement of funds.
- Fund Processing and Monitoring: Process and monitor fund requests, generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on fund usage, and ensure compliance with DMHAS regulations.
- Communication and Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between the Financial Unit, Treatment team, Vendors, and the ABH Finance Department, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration to meet client needs.
- Budgeting and Financial Education: Teach basic budgeting skills to clients and provide education on personal finance, helping them make informed decisions about their financial resources.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a social service field or related field, or a combination of relevant education and work experience; experience working with behavioral health consumers a must.
- Skills and Qualifications: Basic/intermediate accounting and budgeting experience, proficiency in MS Word and Excel, excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Compensation: The estimated annual salary for this role is $60,000 - $70,000, depending on location and experience.
