Audiologist Job Description

The Audiologist is a vital member of the ENT Partners team, responsible for providing expert hearing and balance services to patients. This role requires a strong foundation in audiology, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care and promoting the growth of the hearing aid practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer hearing tests and examinations to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment.
  • Evaluate hearing and balance disorders to determine diagnoses and courses of treatment.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including initial and subsequent evaluation and treatment activities.
  • Fit, dispense, and repair assistive devices, such as hearing aids.
  • Develop and implement treatment programs for patients' hearing or balance problems, consulting with healthcare personnel as needed.
  • Counsel and instruct patients and their families in techniques to improve hearing and communication related to hearing loss.
  • Monitor patients' progress and provide ongoing observation of hearing.
  • Recommend assistive devices according to patients' needs or nature of impairments.
  • Refer patients to additional medical or educational services if needed.
  • Educate and supervise audiology students and healthcare personnel.
  • Develop and supervise hearing screening programs.
  • Examine and clean patients' ear canals.
  • Have an awareness of operating costs and fulfill responsibility to contain costs.
  • Record daily activities in Sycle.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
Requirements:
  • Au.D. or Master's Degree in Audiology.
  • At least 1 to 3 years of experience. Will consider recent graduate.
  • Complex problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making.
  • Strong organizational skills and time management are essential to prioritize daily work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Must be a team player, to accept constructive criticism and be able to follow work rules.
Certifications and Licenses:

Audiologist licensed in good standing in Indiana. All employees are required to provide proof of vaccination or exemption.

Must have current licensure from the Indiana Department of Professional Regulation, and possess a Certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology (if Master's prepared) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, for the purpose of student supervision.
