Audiology Specialist

The Audiologist role at ENT Partners is a vital position that requires a high level of expertise in audiology and hearing health. The primary purpose of this role is to provide independent professional and service provider support to otolaryngology physicians, see patients referred from other providers, and offer hearing aid services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer hearing tests and examine patients to collect information on the type and degree of impairment for both clinical support and hearing devices.
  • Evaluate hearing and balance disorders to determine diagnoses and courses of treatment.
  • Maintain patient records at all stages, including initial and subsequent evaluation and treatment activities.
  • Fit, dispense, and repair assistive devices, such as hearing aids.
  • Plan and conduct treatment programs for patients' hearing or balance problems, consulting the necessary healthcare personnel as needed.
  • Counsel and instruct patients and their families in techniques to improve hearing and communication related to hearing loss.
  • Monitor patients' progress and provide ongoing observation of hearing.
  • Instruct patients in communication strategies to maximize effective receptive communication.
  • Recommend assistive devices according to patients' needs or nature of impairments.
  • Refer patients to additional medical or educational services if needed.
  • Educate and supervise audiology students and healthcare personnel.
  • Develop and supervise hearing screening programs.
  • Examine and clean patients' ear canals.
  • Have an awareness of operating costs and fulfill responsibility to contain costs.
  • Record daily activities in Sycle.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Au.D. or Master's Degree in Audiology.
  • At least 1 to 3 years of experience. Will consider recent graduates.
  • Complex problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making.
  • Strong organizational skills and time management are essential to prioritize daily work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Must be a team player, to accept constructive criticism and be able to follow work rules.
Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsThis position requires an Audiologist licensed in good standing in Indiana. All employees are required to provide proof of vaccination or exemption.
