Position Overview

Are you dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals and families? This role may be the perfect fit for you.

We are looking for a Program Officer for Foster Care to manage and oversee various initiatives aimed at providing exceptional services for refugee and migrant children along with their families. Acting as a key intermediary between partner organizations and stakeholders, you will be instrumental in program oversight, assessment, and enhancement, as well as delivering technical support and training.

In collaboration with the Associate Director, you will pinpoint opportunities for improvement and execute strategies to elevate service delivery standards.

This role allows for remote work flexibility, with occasional travel requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management and administration of grants
  • Collaboration with partners and stakeholders
  • Provision of technical assistance and support
  • Monitoring and evaluation of program effectiveness
  • Training and capacity enhancement
  • Preparation of reports
  • Coordination and development of networks
  • Effective engagement with key stakeholders
  • Representation of the organization at external events
  • Participation in organization-wide initiatives
  • Additional responsibilities as required

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or a related discipline
  • Experience within child welfare systems
  • Proven managerial experience
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of immigration and child welfare matters
  • Experience in cross-cultural environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
