We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse II to join our team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
Responsibilities- Provide nursing care in accordance with established standards of care, policies, and procedures.
- Integrate education, technical competence, and patient interaction skills to gain confidence and cooperation from patients and their families.
- Exercise sound judgment and developed clinical skills to implement patient plans of care based on diagnoses.
- Support department functionality by distributing supplies and performing equipment maintenance, testing, and setup as needed.
- Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Vocational Nursing (may be evidenced by LVN/LPN license).
- LVN-Licensed Vocational Nurse for California-based jobs or LPN-Licensed Practical Nurse for Oregon-based jobs.
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
- 1 year recent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic nursing skills, various medical procedures, views, and equipment.
- Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
