Multi Language Learner

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Multi Language Learner Paraprofessional. This role will provide critical support to our students and teachers in the classroom, helping to ensure the academic success and social growth of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in screening students for eligibility and provide support to students in the classroom.
- Collaborate with teachers to design and implement data-driven individual learning plans based on English Language Proficiency standards.
- Support classroom learning and English Language Proficiency Standards under the direction of the teacher in small groups or with individual students.
- Assist students with classroom assignments as directed by the teacher.
- Provide and interpret cultural information to facilitate diversity and cultural understanding within the school community.
- Provide assistance with parent/school communication.
- Attend meetings and activities relevant to the EL program and assigned elementary schools as directed.
- Handle compliance documentation as directed by EL Director.
- Travel to different sites to assist students.
- Provide clinic/first aid/medication support to students.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Must meet Highly Qualified status: Associates degree or higher, or 60 college credit hours, or Passed the Work Keys test or the ETS Parapro Assessment.
- Experience working with school-age children in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of EL methods.
- Bilingual candidates must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively with building staff and parents.
- Ability to work with a flexible schedule.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as to read handwritten or typed material, and the ability to adjust focus.
