Position Summary:

The Field Operations Supervisor is tasked with managing the daily functions and productivity of their team, ensuring that objectives for assigned locations are met. This role is crucial in completing projects within the established timelines and budgets while adhering to quality standards. Responsibilities include delegating tasks to team members, monitoring progress, and ensuring a safe and effective work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate payroll and revenue reports for assigned teams to the General Foreman or designated personnel.
  • Exhibit thorough knowledge of and compliance with company and client policies, procedures, and daily operational requirements.
  • Support and guide team members to achieve optimal results in local operational goals.
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA and ANSI standards along with all company safety protocols.
  • Assist the General Foreman in coordinating equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Document and report any personnel or equipment incidents, including safety issues.
  • Support the General Foreman in the bidding process for new projects.
  • Secure necessary permissions for teams to commence work.
  • Engage with local stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Address customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain daily communication with the General Foreman regarding crew activities, equipment issues, and safety matters.
  • Ensure completion and submission of all vehicle and equipment inspections.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Conduct oneself in alignment with the mission and values of United Clearing Services.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in a Trimmer/Climber role, particularly around utility lines.
  • Proven ability to lead small teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of tree species, growth patterns, and appropriate arboricultural practices for trimming, pruning, and removal near energized lines.
  • Experience in tree climbing, knot tying, and maintaining safety standards for oneself and others, including proper PPE usage.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and symbols related to electrical lines and equipment.
  • Physical capability to lift at least 50 lbs. to shoulder height.
  • Proficient in operating two-handed tools (e.g., chainsaws, circular saws) and enduring varying weather conditions.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • CDL and/or medical certification preferred for vehicle operation.
  • Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening and job skills assessments.
  • Willingness to travel and stay overnight as required.

Employment Type:

  • Shifts: 10-hour, 12-hour, or 8-hour shifts
