Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with aerial devices, digger derricks, chippers, cranes; or construction, mining, agricultural equipment such as excavators, skid steers, dozers, or tractors; or military heavy machinery like MRAP vehicles, HMEE, or tanks; aircraft and aerospace or ground support equipment (AGE/GSE) or similar
- Prior mechanical and/or equipment service experience
- Education in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems
Job Responsibilities:
- Replace electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components as needed
- Utilize all available technical resources (such as operator, parts, and maintenance manuals, HowFactory, etc.) for troubleshooting, determining procedures, and identifying necessary parts for repairs
- Conduct Unit Condition Inspections and Reports
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
- Perform all tasks in accordance with Altec Safety practices and procedures
- Inform supervisors of any situations that may affect customer relations
- Provide accurate and complete information on all required documentation

- Carry out other duties as assigned
Essential Requirements:
- High School Diploma, state-approved High School Equivalency, or GED
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills
- Physical capability to lift objects and tools weighing up to 75 pounds; frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and kneeling
- A high level of dexterity
- As necessary, provide basic tools according to Altec's tool policy
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Develop basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to support customers by working overtime when required
- Promote safety in all activities
