Sanitation Technician

FasTemps, Inc is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Technician to join our team. As a Sanitation Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our food packaging and milling facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and Sanitize Equipment and Facilities: Clean and sanitize production equipment, machinery, and work areas according to established protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Perform Routine and Deep Cleaning Tasks: Perform routine and deep cleaning tasks in both the food packaging and milling areas to maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Ensure Sanitation Procedures Comply with Regulations: Ensure all sanitation procedures comply with company policies and regulatory requirements, including FDA, USDA, and OSHA standards.
- Handle and Store Cleaning Chemicals Safely: Handle and store cleaning chemicals safely and effectively, following all safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Inspect and Maintain Sanitation Equipment: Inspect and maintain sanitation equipment to ensure it is in good working condition and functioning properly.
- Document Cleaning and Sanitation Activities: Document all cleaning and sanitation activities accurately and timely to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in Developing Sanitation Procedures: Assist in the development and implementation of sanitation procedures and best practices to ensure a high level of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Work with Production and Quality Assurance Teams: Work closely with production and quality assurance teams to address any sanitation-related issues and ensure a smooth operation.
- Participate in Audits and Inspections: Participate in internal and external audits and inspections to ensure readiness and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor Pest Control Activities: Monitor pest control activities and report any issues to the appropriate personnel to ensure a pest-free environment.
- Maintain Inventory of Cleaning Supplies: Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management of any needed replenishments to ensure a smooth operation.
- Adhere to Company Safety Policies: Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, promoting a safe work environment and preventing accidents and injuries.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of Sanitation and Hygiene Standards: Knowledge of sanitation and hygiene standards in food manufacturing and packaging environments preferred.
- Familiarity with Cleaning Chemicals: Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and proper handling techniques required.
- Strong Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness required.
- Ability to Work Independently: Ability to work independently and manage time effectively required.
- Physical Ability to Perform Manual Labor: Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods required.
- Good Communication and Teamwork Skills: Good communication and teamwork skills required.
- Flexibility to Work Various Shifts: Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed required.
- Certification in Sanitation or Food Safety: Certification in sanitation or food safety (e.g., ServSafe) is a plus.
- Steel-Toed Shoes: Steel-toed shoes required.
- Gloves: Gloves recommended.
- Clean White T-Shirts Only: Clean white t-shirts only allowed.
