Nursing Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at Gundersen Lutheran-Harmony. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with basic care needs, including nutrition, elimination, comfort, mobility, and safety.
- Transport and transfer patients within the medical complex using appropriate equipment and safety precautions.
- Assist nursing staff in lifting and ambulating patients using proper practice guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, and locate and deliver equipment as needed.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to effectively communicate and document accurate information.
- No education required, but a high school diploma or equivalency is desired.
- No experience required, but 2 years of previous CNA experience is desired.
- Must be a Minnesota Registered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or able to complete a training program approved by the registry within 4 months of hire.
- Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers certification is required.
This role is exposed to infectious diseases and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Physical DemandsThis position requires frequent walking, standing, stooping, bending, and reaching. Occasional climbing of stairs and pushing/pulling of equipment may be required.
