About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our team at CommonSpirit Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to individuals struggling with substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical screenings and assessments to identify patients at risk for unhealthy substance use.
  • Utilize evidence-based tools and assessments to screen for substance use disorders and identify appropriate levels of care.
  • Develop and deliver educational programs and workshops to promote awareness and understanding of substance use disorders.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to patients and their families.
  • Work closely with payor sources to facilitate pre-authorization of admission and treatment.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field, such as counseling, social work, or psychology.
  • Two years of experience working with individuals with substance use disorders.
  • Current licensure or certification as a Substance Use Disorder Professional, Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Social Worker, Psychologist, RN, LPN, or ARNP.
  • Proof of completion of agency-approved SBIRT training.
  • Current Washington State Driver's License or evidence of equivalent mobility.
