Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and streamline daily operations of the manufacturing facility while assessing performance metrics.
  • Provide leadership in safety practices to all personnel at the site.
  • Ensure a secure working environment in compliance with legal standards and SMS group protocols. Actively support safety initiatives and foster a culture that prioritizes preventive measures. Evaluate and mitigate risks and potential safety issues across all operational facets. Collaborate with Safety Department representatives to train and inform staff on proper safety procedures.
  • Work alongside the Quality Department to uphold quality standards, processes, and protocols. Guarantee that clients receive high-quality products that meet their specifications. Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of quality control systems.
  • Implement and manage effective workforce strategies to optimize employee productivity, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately. This includes forecasting, staffing, scheduling, and real-time adjustments to accommodate unforeseen changes.
  • Employ production planning techniques to enhance profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction. This encompasses demand forecasting, inventory review, production option selection, process monitoring, and performance evaluation.
  • Analyze production capacity to ensure the supply chain can meet demand. Identify scaling opportunities, recognize bottlenecks, and manage risks.
  • Identify and minimize operational costs and variances to boost profitability. Aim to reduce waste in current processes.
  • In partnership with the HR Department, manage recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee engagement. Address workplace challenges, oversee employee performance, and anticipate staffing needs.
  • Enhance operational management systems, processes, and best practices. Develop or refine processes to boost productivity and performance.
  • Create and manage budgets and capital plans to fulfill operational requirements.
    1. Collaborate with accounting to ensure accurate data reporting to senior management.
    2. Budget for new machinery, research and development, new product production, and significant capital investments.
    3. Evaluate potential project cash inflows and outflows to determine if expected returns meet target benchmarks.
  • Oversee supply chain management to ensure timely procurement of goods to satisfy customer demand. Monitor working capital and collaborate with relevant personnel to minimize working capital needs.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with all clients and employees. Encourage feedback and respond promptly.
  • Act as a mentor to team members. Demonstrate consistency, fairness, empathy, confidence, and enthusiasm to inspire employees toward achieving organizational goals.
  • Ensure planned maintenance is conducted for equipment and facilities.
  • Uphold high ethical standards in all business interactions.
  • Ensure that employees are well-informed of company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance at all times. Employ a structured approach to implement changes effectively.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree is mandatory, preferably in business, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Five to ten years of relevant operations management experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of operations management principles and practices.
  • Possess strong social awareness and the ability to understand others' reactions.
  • Demonstrate resilience in overcoming challenges.
  • Exhibit active listening skills, giving full attention to others, understanding their points, and asking relevant questions.
  • Knowledgeable in business and management principles related to strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of personnel and resources.
  • Familiar with customer service principles, including needs assessment, quality standards, and customer satisfaction evaluation.
  • Knowledgeable in HR principles and procedures for recruitment, selection, training, compensation, benefits, labor relations, and personnel information systems.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and practices, including financial data reporting.
  • Familiar with raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for optimizing manufacturing and distribution.
